FSSip · softphone for Windows

Make calls from your PC.
And bring the call straight into your FSRdp room.

FSSip turns your Windows PC into a phone on your FRITZ!Box – with phone book, conference calls and call transfer. And whoever is on the line joins an FSRdp session with a single click: no computer, no app, from any ordinary phone.

Free · Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) · no administrator rights needed

FSRdp bridgeEvery caller becomes a participant in the FSRdp room.

Features

A complete phone on your desk

Make and take calls

Outgoing and incoming calls, a ringing window in front of everything, answer or decline with one click, and a keypad with touch tones for voice menus.

Conference calls

Add more people to the call, take a waiting call into the conference or answer it privately while the others keep talking.

Call transfer

Leave a conference with two other people and FSSip connects them to each other – the call continues without you.

Phone book and call log

Contacts with names instead of numbers, a call history with full-text search and call back with one click.

Headset and ringtone

Choose microphone, playback and ringing speaker separately, ten ringtones with their own volume.

Text during the call

Two FSSip users can send each other short texts during a call, carried inside the audio itself. Experimental.

Status at a glance

The notification area icon shows red, yellow or green: not connected, ready, in a call.

Built-in diagnostics

A diagnostic log shows registration and call setup; the SIP password is stored encrypted on the computer.

Ordinary phones in your FSRdp room

A customer can only be reached by phone, a colleague is in the car, grandma has no smartphone? FSSip switches the running call into an FSRdp room. Every caller appears there as a participant of their own and joins the conversation while the others share their screens.

More about FSRdp
  • A tile of their own for every caller, with the name from the phone book and a level meter
  • The room owner can mute or remove each caller individually
  • Live subtitles pick up what is said on the phone, too
  • Audio only: screens, cameras and files never reach the phone line
  • When the call ends, FSSip leaves the room by itself

In three steps

From the phone call into the room

01

Enter the server

Once, in the FSSip settings under "FSRdpServer": enter the FSRdp server and your name.

02

Choose the room

During the call, click the FSRdp icon at the bottom right and enter the room number and, if needed, the PIN.

03

Carry on together

The icon pulses while the call is in the room. You talk through your own FSRdp client – FSSip disconnects its microphone and speaker for that time.
